Later that evening I retired downstairs to the family room. While sitting down
there I began to "talk" to Dakota, who was upstairs in the kitchen with my
husband hoping for a piece of his dinner to fall onto the floor. Nothing can tear
Dakota away from the kitchen if someone is eating. While I was attempting to
connect with him, the next thing I know Dakota is down in the family room
sitting right next to me looking at me! I was amazed, he gave up the chance
of a fallen scrap to physically come down to communicate with me! I look

Thank you Emerald! The name tags were quite helpful. Otherwise instead of listening to your instruction I would have been trying to make up name recall rhymes. Today I became more keenly aware of how guarded I am. Even just reading in front of the class brought back school-age anxiety I assumed was gone. It was surprising to see the apparent ease and openness with which my classmates expressed their feelings and experiences. Their accessibility must help significantly with communication. I will work on softening up those walls of mine. Wow some of my classmates had elaborate communications/visions. They sounded so matter-of-fact like they just hung up the phone after a marathon chat. Finally when Robin siad to just take what ever popped into my head, it was quite freeing.     ~ D. H.
